The Australian College of Midwives Student Membership Fees Waived

17 January 2022

The Australian College of Midwives (ACM) has waived Student Membership fees for an initial two year period from 1st January 2023.

The ACM Board have made the decision to waive Student Membership fees for 2023 and 2024 in recognition of the incredibly important role students play in the future stability of the midwifery workforce and their need to be supported and nurtured, particularly through the learning stages of their careers.

It is also important to acknowledge that this is a difficult time for students both professionally and economically and ACM is pleased to support students in this way through this period and beyond.

Students can now access ACM’s complete webinar library, a series of one hour elearning courses and a digital copy of Australian Midwifery News at no cost. Student members are also eligible for discounts on face-to-face and virtual events, eligible to apply for scholarships and awards and have the opportunity to begin building their professional networks.

ACM President Joanne Gray said, “I encourage all students to join ACM and start enjoying the benefits of being a member straight away. Whether you extend your learning by undertaking the CPD education or choose to become active in your local midwifery community, the potential impacts for your career are enormous.”

The join process is simple, quick and can be completed on a mobile phone. Students who joined prior to 1st January 2023 will have their existing membership automatically rolled over on their renewal date.
