This free panel cover your questions on the Commonwealth Prac Payment Scheme launched on 1 July 2025.

To qualify, students must be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place and meet both placement hours and income eligibility requirements. Applications open on 1 July 2025 directly through each university’s system, helping to ease the pressures of unpaid placement hours.

Annette is the Director responsible for the Commonwealth Prac Payment Program. From August 2024, Annette lead CPP program development following the 2024-25 Budget announcement through to program implementation on 1 July 2025.

Prior to working on the Commonwealth Prac Payment, Annette had roles in overseeing the Commonwealth Grants Scheme, the Higher Education Loan Program and Higher Education Provider finances. Annette also worked in the Department of Finance providing advice on the Australian Government Charging Framework and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in various policy and program roles.
