Preeclampsia and Hypertension Update
_
There have been substantial advances in our understanding of preeclampsia in recent years, across the prevention to follow-up care spectrum. This webinar will update midwives on preeclampsia and hypertension in pregnancy, and provide an evidence-informed foundation for midwives to provide optimal care to women who experience these conditions. Presented by Associate Professor Wendy Pollock and hosted by ACM Midwifery Advisor Aya Emery.

Presenter
Associate Professor Wendy Pollock is an ICU nurse and midwife with a passion about critical illness associated with pregnancy. She was an Associate Investigator on the Australasia Maternity Outcomes Surveillance System (AMOSS) and spent nearly 20 years on the Victorian CCOPMM Maternal Mortality and Morbidity sub-committee, examining potentially preventable, systemic factors associated with maternal deaths in the state. As Associate Professor at Monash Nursing and Midwifery, Wendy created a Master-level elective unit called 'Maternal Critical Care', with midwives and nurses learning together, how to improve our care to women, and their families, who experience critical illness associated with pregnancy.
