From the WA Branch Chair
The aim of the WA Branch Executive Committee is to provide education and support on midwifery matters to all our WA Members. We also seek to influence how maternity services are provided in WA to continually improve care for WA women and their families.
The Branch holds a midwifery conference on contemporary midwifery issues every year. We also host education evenings and other midwifery events such as movie nights, quiz nights, graduate forums and an IDM walk during the year, which provides midwives with an opportunity to network with each other.
To support WA midwives the Branch offers midwifery awards to student midwives and the Sister Francesca scholarship to enable midwives to attend midwifery-related conferences.
