Clinical Midwives practice autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to provide midwifery continuity of care in a remote health service setting. The Clinical Midwife provides direct clinical care to maternity consumers as well as clinical support and education to other team members. You will work with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds. The Clinical Midwife in collaboration with the Midwifery Unit Manager, coordinates and provides continuity of midwifery care to a defined caseload of women, using primary health care principles and a problem-solving approach across the childbirth continuum.

This is a permanent part time vacancy, working 60.8 hours per fortnight over a 7 day roster, and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
