Mater Mothers’ Hospital is looking for interest from Registered Midwives to join the team
Mater Mothers is home to Queensland’s first purpose built 24/7 Pregnancy Assessment Centre, our internationally renowned Maternal Fetal Medicine Service and our onsite Neonatal Critical Care Unit, which includes an intensive care unit for babies who are born with extreme prematurity or require lifesaving care.
What you’ll be doing
You will be providing exceptional care to both public and privately funded women ranging from the care of normal, low risk women through to complex obstetric and medical care requiring an extensive multidisciplinary approach.
About you
This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Midwife to provide exceptional midwifery care and is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary team, utilising your enthusiasm and midwifery passion for the delivery of best practice within a supportive and professional environment.
The successful candidate will have:
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem solving skills
• Evidence of continuing educational and professional development, preferably post graduate qualifications
• Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
• The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic and mature attitude, have excellent communication skills and will also demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
