The Position

Position Title: Child Birth and Early Parenting Educator

Salary per hour (exc. super): $50.25
Hours per fortnight: 32
Employment Status: Part Time - Fixed Term Parental Leave Replacement

Role Description

The Child Birth and Early Parenting Educator role is responsible for co-ordinating child birth education for women attending Bendigo Health to birth their baby. Education provided needs to be in a variety of formats to meet the different needs of the diverse range of women and families accessing the service. This should include in a class format, one on one and through various forms of electronic media.

The Team

The team is part of Bendigo Health’s Women and Children Department. The Women’s Health team at Bendigo Health is an outpatient facility that provides gynaecology and antenatal care for women of the Bendigo and Loddon Mallee region. Registered midwives are a crucial element of our clinical team and are responsible for providing sensitive, evidence based, family centred care. Women are offered a number of antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care options including caseload midwifery, midwifery led antenatal care and obstetric care.
