Western NSW is not your average health district. We’re a place where you can bring your purpose to life, broaden your scope through development & experience, and fast track your career.

We value autonomy & responsibility, and will always support you in an inclusive, collaborative and caring team environment.
As leaders in the delivery of virtual care, with innovation and continuous improvement at the heart of all roles, you’ll be part of shaping the future of rural health. It’s not always easy, but it will always be extremely rewarding.

Our focus of growing our own, and with less career competition - that promotion could be yours – accelerating your career way ahead of your metro colleagues. And as you are paid the same as in the city, the lower cost of living in our region means there is more left over for what you find fun!

Western NSW is a thriving region, where our towns and cities provide similar facilities to metropolitan areas with more time, more space and less stress. Traffic? There’s none out here – your commute is quick and you can spend more time doing the things you love, all while building a rewarding and meaningful career.
Multiple positions which qualify for recruitment & retention incentive packages between $5,000 to $10,000.
You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary maternity team providing woman centred care that is focused on individual needs, expectations and aspirations to achieve optimal pregnancy outcomes for the woman and her family.

With a modern, state of the art Maternity Units, Western NSW Local Health District are seeking newgrad and experienced midwives to enhance their growing team.

Our single aim is to provide a service to build healthier rural people and thriving communities, and our midwives play a crucial role in achieving this goal. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of people across varied socio-economic backgrounds and diverse ethnicities and experience a range of models of care.

You will work in a modern facility supporting women and their pregnancies, where you can really make a difference to their lives.

You will be developed professionally by our district’s Clinical Midwife Educator and Clinical Midwife Consultants, have access to online and face to face learning with the Australian College of Nursing and the opportunity to undertake our Clinical Leadership program.

While at times it will be hard, others challenging, we can promise your work will always be rewarding and you will be well supported by a Clinical Midwife Specialist Team Leader in an inclusive, collaborative and supportive work environment.

This truly is a role where you will broaden your scope, develop new skills and supercharge your career.

Challenge yourself. Make an impact. Shape the future.

Join us at Western NSW Local Health District.
