The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
*RM Level 1 $82,945 - $106,630 p.a. pro rata plus shift penalties (plus 12% superannuation). The new Midwifery Annualised Salary Agreement (MASA) agreement for Caseload Midwifery commenced 30 June 2025 and attracts a 40% annualisation loading for caseload midwives.

Position Profile: WACHS is seeking to grow our Midwifery workforce with positions available in Core, Caseload models and limited locations for FIFO opportunities. Roles in multiple regions. Casual, Fixed Term and Permanent roles available.

This position is a key role in providing experience and leadership development for our midwifery services in the WACHS regions and communities.

Regions/sites

Kimberley – Kununurra, Broome & Derby
Pilbara – Karratha - Port Hedland
Midwest – Geraldton
Wheatbelt – Northam (Caseload)
Goldfields – Kalgoorlie, Esperance
Southwest - Bunbury - Collie, Bridgetown & Manjimup
