Presented by Dr Lynne Roberts

Lynne is a Clinical Midwifery Consultant at St George Hospital in Sydney. She has an extensive clinical and research background, her expertise being hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP). Since her personal experience with preeclampsia in her first pregnancy she has been passionate about improving the care women diagnosed with HDP receive. In 2019 she completed her PhD titled Hypertension in pregnancy: gaining insight into women’s mental health and birth experience 6-12 months postpartum. She is currently the project manager of two postpartum HDP studies, one being undertaken in six hospitals across Sydney. She enjoys teaching and mentoring midwifery and medical colleagues and students, presenting her work, being part of the Obstetric Medicine Research Group and working with women with HDP. She is an advisor and committee member of Australian Action on Preeclampsia (AAPEC), a consumer led support group.
