About the role

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) is seeking a dual registered nurse/midwife or midwife for a part time Professional Officer position on a temporary basis (0.3 EFT). This role is to assist with progressing and implementing the ANMF's professional program. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Providing professional nursing and midwifery research, advice and representation to support ANMF Branches and members,
Contributing to the provision of strategic advice and direction on national professional and clinical issues for nursing and midwifery, professional legislative and regulatory matters and related professional issues,
Preparing ANMF responses to a range of stakeholders on professional issues,
Providing research, report writing and policy development on professional issues as required,
Communicating and lobbying on professional and related matters on behalf of the Federation,
Professional representation of the ANMF in a range of forums.
