Jennifer Leverington

Jenni Leverington is a Clinical Midwife working in Maternal Fetal Medicine Department at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Western Australia. She trained in South Africa and completed further studies in London before moving to Perth. She has worked in high risk midwifery care for most of her career and is passionate in providing optimal care for women experiencing the most complicated of pregnancies. Jenni is one of the Jurisdictional Midwifery Leads on the National Preterm Birth Prevention Collaborative.

Susan Heath

Susan Heath is a Clinical Midwife Consultant with PEARLS team at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, providing continuity of care for women that require MFM care for either maternal or fetal reasons, and for women pregnant following a preventable stillbirth. Sue has worked in intrapartum and birth centre care, then MFM, and developed a high risk pregnancy MAPS model of care over the last decade, with 5 FTE midwives, and opened a 2 bed Maternal Close Observation Unit to support women to remain in midwifery care, with their babies and partners by their side, when requiring a higher level of maternal care. Sue is research lead of Safer Baby Bundle implementation over last 3 years in WSLHD, and recently obtained an Equity Grant to provide Aboriginal Health Practitioners and dedicated continuity of care Consultant Obstetricians for our First Nations mothers, and partners of First Nations dads, in midwifery caseload and AMIHS, caring for our large urban population.
